This week is full of Miracles and God doesn't do random!

Our new investigator is on date for baptism!! She chose the week of Christmas!

Other Milagros:
Hermana Butler and I were contacting a referral in a community of
houses (usually not a lot of Hispanics) and at our last 5 minutes of
the day, like they always say, decided to knock a random house. A
woman about 70 years old opens her door. Immediately yells for us to
come in and sit down. She had gone to a Mormon church in Mexico but
had never talked to any missionaries here and would love for us to
come over and teach her. After calling us her Angels and Guapas, she
told us to teach her how to pray and to come back again for the next
lesson in a few days. God doesn't do random!

We also had a really big lesson planned with an investigator and his
family with some members last night that fell through, we were really
sad but we went to another potential where we had an amazing lesson
with a family that is so ready and prepared for the gospel!

Sometimes things fall through and don't work out the way we want them
to. But that's the things, Gods ways are not our ways and they are
higher than our ways. He knows His people and where we need to be.
Dropping people is hard sometimes but this area has so much to do it's
overwhelming sometimes. I have fallen in love with the Branch here and
the members and investigators.
Maybe it's just the season of the week but Alma said it best: This is
my joy, My great thanksgiving (:  Alma 26:37

So give your families a couple extra hugs, say thanks instead of
please in your prayers a little bit more, serve someone and you'll be
that much more thankful for the those serving you already!
Gracias por todo!
Can't say it in Spanish or English or really any words at all how
thankful I am for all the support, prayers, and love. But thank you!
Con amor,

Milagros en Vancouver
Hola Amigos!

So Miracles are here everyday. everywhere really if you open your eyes
to see (: We had this amazing day on Saturday because we met a lady in
our parking lot when we asked if she needed help taking some of her
trash out. After we found out that she was moving the next week and we
told her we'd help her. But she said she has a bed that she needs to
get rid of and we have been praying and searching for a bed for one of
our investigators that is in a rough situation right now with money.
So we got the elders over there and their van was filled and packed in
only an hour and we had members move the beautiful new bunk beds over
to our investigators house. The girl is now meeting with the
Missionaries up in Astoria where she moved!

We have had a rough week here at first because none of our progressing
investigators could meet this week so we did a lot of finding new
investigators. We had this amazing lady and her family come to church
after only one lesson for us a few days ago! The gospel principles
class was on law of chastity... She loved it. And said she is willing
to be baptized when she knows it's true. The work here is progressing
so much. They told me that they haven't had investigators at church or
any baptisms in the branch for a really long time but we've had one or
more every week in this last transfer!

Primary programs are cuter in Spanish... Or maybe I'm just obsessed
with the families here but this Sunday was my favorite one yet. The
kids only love me cause I give them gum and make faces at them while
they sing but I accept it all the same. The members here are so
amazing and so willing to help and serve. It would be impossible
without them. I am wishing I was better at missionary work before I
left.

Thank you for all the love and prayers out here in rainy Vancouver! I
am loving my time here and can't believe how fast the calendar moves.
I will hit my 4 month mark on the 5th!

Keep counting blessings and miracles and thanking the one that gives
them to you (: Les Amo muchisimo!

¡hola!

The work is hastening in Vancouver! We have two new Spanish elders to
help our cause now so our branch is about to get bigger (: we get fed
our blessings here for sure. The members are ready to help and it's
amazing to be apart of.

Halloween here was interesting cause it was a rainstorm and we were
inside weekly planning.... Not always fiestas and fajitas here. But we
have seen some miracles because we got about 7 new investigators some
of them families this week! Which is what we've been praying for!

twilight makes so much more sense here cause it seriously is ALWAYS
raining. But people let us in their houses more when we are soaking in
the rain. But anyone could seriously be vampires out here cause the
sun is never out.

Les queiro mucho!

¡Hola!
So you guys must of been praying for me or something because we had so
many MIRACLES this week!
Everyone that we have been working with over this transfer finally
came to church! So many of them weren't progressing because of that
but now they have amigos in the branch and can progress towards
baptism! It was so crazy because none of them have came before and
then all of them came the same week! Ahh I have such a testimony on
fasting and prayer.

We have such an amazing Rama here and all the members love the
missionaries because they are basically all converts. Hermana Jeranimo
is teaching us how to make some Cena tomorrow for the elders so I'm stoked.

I can actually understand all of church and the meetings now and talk
to people without having them slow down and repeat so the gift of
tongues is real! (Even my investigator de Puerto Rico was surprised I am keeping to him cause they talk SO fast)

The culture here is amazing and everyone is so happy
that you're learning their language that they help you out. So much
hugging and kisses on the cheek it's adorable.

Embarrassing story of the week:
So we have this amazing investigator and she promised to read Moroni
10 and we came back the next time and followed up. She said that she was
confused and didn't like it. Well she has never read The Bible
before and it was a little confused on where to read. Yeah... She read
Moroni chapter 9 verse 10. Read it and then I will follow up next
week.

Love you all and thank you for all the prayers for the missionaries.

Ps:
Remember the covenant you made when you were baptized and try this
week to reach out to a lost sheep. Our ultimate goal is to get every
one of God's children back to the fold. It's not important why someone isn't
going to church just be a friend to those that need it and help
them remember they're important to their father in heaven and to you!
Les Amo!

HOLA USTEDES!
My first week here.... Has been crazy. I love it! I was the only
Spanish missionary in this transfer so I'm in a trio! But these girls
are so amazing. We live with the ASL sisters so we are the only ones
that get internet so I can watch Mormon messages without a Church
around and I have all the Spanish & English everything in this magical
iPad.

But the really cool stuff: we have so many people to teach!!!!! It's
amazing. We barely have time for referrals let alone tracking because
we always have lessons and investigators. I guess my Spanish is better
than I thought because everyone looks really surprised when I
understand and talk to them but it's all the gift of tongues! The
branch here is hilarious and everyone is so nice to my gringa self.
But like 3 hours of church and I have no idea what they are saying
most the time.... I had to pray for both classes and bear my testimony
in sacrament meeting though!

Cool people: learned to make tamales with an investigator and we would
help each other with English and Spanish so funny though! We get fed
every night here by the members of the branch so amazing real Mexican
food Every. Single. Day. Am I blessed or what? I don't have an awkward
hugging probably anymore either cause you literally hug everyone!
(Females only of course) There was a guy that we talked to on the
street that I guess was hitting on us in Spanish (I had no idea cause
I don't know any of those words yet Jajaja) so we thought he wasn't
really infested in the message just the girls and we gave him to the
elders and then he came to church! And some of others that we've been
teaching did too!!

I see miracles every day here! The church is true!
Con amor,

FAMILIA!

HOLA! I wanna say again and again GRACIAS for all you do for me. The letters and packages and everything! I am so thankful every second of the day. You are truly my favorite and most important blessing! I sent you a letter but I forget the last page so I'll have to send it with the next one hahah

I wanna know how everything is going there though! School and all? Work and our house! and what is Geoff's address/email and Cj because I don't have them and I wanna write them!

I got super sick yesterday night at like 3 am and was just barfing my guts out in the hallway for a while and just chilled by myself until my comp came and helped me change the trashcan and went to bed. but i said some prayers cause i really needed to be healthy and learn some spanish that day so I was better! sorry there isn't lots of time to write but I'm pretty sure I can get on monday for a bit to tell you about what is all happening tueday! I am flying out at like 7ish though and I am leaving the MTC and 3 am.

So y'all need to send me my email list so I can start sending one out (: There's a lot of people I want to add to it!

Que Tal Mi Amigos? This week has been more than wonderful! My spanish is struggling along but I feel a little more confident in lessons in understanding and saying all I need to! This week we had an amazing experience with a skype member TRC. We skyped a member in Argentina and this girl was so adorable. It was the first time I feel like we got to teach a real person and make a difference. We invited her to start taking her friend from college to church this sunday and give her a LDM. But I asked her how the gospel changed her family when they were converted and how it was different for the happiness in their home and she was balling and I cried for the first time in a lesson. But the spirit can be felt over the computer via skype on different parts of the world if you were wondering!

Other cool things: Gerald Causse from the 70 and his wife talked at the devotional this tuesday. I LOVE THEM. They are the ones from france and I loved his talk from GenCon. They said some pretty amazing things on how to be humble and teach and rely on Christ. Basically they were adorable with their accents and made me feel okay about spanish!

I said bye to Lexi this week and basically we just hugged and balled in the hallway without words for like 2 minutes straight. The night before I had to go into like 4 sisters rooms to try and find her. She is going to be so amazing!

I'm trying to think of other cool things that happen here... but I do the same thing mostly everyday but I'm just really really blessed to be here and learning the things I do with the people I'm with and the ones supporting me at home!

I fly out the the dirty couv on tuesday! (you can laugh at that nickname cause there's an elder from our building that is from there and said they called it that) But I met some sisters that I will be flying out with! I'm just gunna be really way too sad to say bye to my cute comps and my district. They are so fun. LOVE YOU ALL! The real world of the field comes this weeek!
